The 5th Annual Faribault Flannel Formal was held on Saturday, February 8th at the 10,000 Drops and Corks and Pints Campus, and with over 450 people in attendance, it put the fun in fundraiser!
The evening started with music by Bryan Anderson and then attendees enjoyed a mix of country and classic rock tunes performed by Chad Johnson and the Minnesota Transplants. No one left hungry with 14 delicious hotdishes competing in the annual hotdish contest, and Ryan Knot’s recipe declared the winner. Everyone wore their best flannel attire and Jordan Northrup and Laura Bock earned the respective titles of Best Dressed Lumberjack and Lumberjane of the evening. Additionally, Paul Bunyan was in attendance and there were fun games! With the purchase of a ticket, attendees received a commemorative glass, and one complimentary beverage, and their fill of hotdish and trail mix. Plus, this year, soon to be open Mighty Fine Coffee was on hand providing samples or their roasts.
Additionally, the night provided the perfect opportunity to honor Paul Swenson with a Lifetime Achievement Award for the work that he has done for the Faribault Chamber, served on the Faribault Main Street board of directors, and invented the Faribault Flannel Formal.
Thank you to the sponsors and volunteers, and everyone who purchased a ticket, for making this event a success!
