Return of the zombies! For the second year in a row, zombies converged on downtown Faribault searching for food and drink specials.
It was a bloody good time as participants made their way through downtown and took in wristband specials and received a map to guide them on their adventures. The specials included 2 for 1’s from 5-7pm and Vampire blood shots for $4 at Boxers, $2 pints at F-town Brewing Company, witch fingers (tempura green beans) for $7.99 , bloody tenders with chipotle ranch for $9.99, Bloody Mary’s for $3.50, and zombie blood (melon liquor, pineapple, cream) for $3.75 at the Depot, 1/2 off pizza, $1 shots of Dr. Root Beer and Dr. Wild Grape and $1 off Golden Draft Light taps at the Signature, and no cover charge for the Devon Worley band playing at Grampa Al’s.
Many people choice to get into the spirit and dress up, with Jeffy Jeffries and Heather Terpstra winning King and Queen of the Dead, and Atica Gallup and Joshua Gallup receiving prizes for being runners up. Thanks to everyone who came out for a fun night that included food, drinks, dancing, live music, prizes and awesome costumes!
Additional thanks to Hanah Demars and Heather Neal for volunteering to help organize the event.
